Born out of form and function I’ve been creating some unique furniture. First came our Adirondack ski chairs to complete our newly landscaped backyard, then a live edge coffee table to complement our contemporary, sectional sofa. As with all of my work, the finishes that I use for the tables are 100% natural, durable and beautiful. It’s been a lot of fun creating these pieces for me and my wife and it would be fun to create a unique piece for you and your home.

Cherry live edge bar. This was a unique piece of cherry with the curved aspect and great grain. It was a fun piece to make and is multifunctional as a bar, stand up desk, reception area many possibilities.

The legs are fabricated out of steal my design very solid platform. Which creates a display for this beautiful piece of black walnut. The finish is raw linseed oil with a linseed oil wax top coat. My original table shown above still looks great after eight years.

I had fun making this piece it was split almost all the way through. Instead of fixing the piece. Embraced the idea of a split piece. It can be used together or apart as a coffee table and an end table. The legs are steal rod ruffly 3/8 sunk into the walnut with epoxy. I wanted to created a suspended feel to showcase the beautiful wood grain. The split sections are epoxied revealing a smooth textured aspect of the piece. The finish is many coats of raw linseed oil followed by a finish coat of linseed oil wax.

Black walnut coffee table with hairpin legs. This was the forth table I made in Washington DC its very heavy! I wanted a piece exhibiting the hairpin leg. Simple design and very stout.

Live Edge Cherry Coffee Table
Just completed this new live edge cherry coffee table. The grain is beautiful. The cherry top sits upon a mahogany stand that I designed. There are wooden pegs that keep the top in place. The table can be fully disassembled. There is a Japanese feel with the ached aspect of the cherry top and simplicity and beautiful form.
